Cathy Cruise is a writer, editor, and production specialist based in Northern Virginia. For more than two decades, she's worked with an array of organizations producing print and electronic books, magazines, journals, newsletters, brochures, promotional pieces, and other publications.
Cathy's first novel, A Hundred Weddings, was a finalist for a Next Generation Indie Book Award and a ScreenCraft Cinematic Book prize. Her short stories have appeared in such journals as American Fiction, Michigan Quarterly Review, New Virginia Review, Blue Mesa Review, Phoebe, Embark, Pithead Chapel, Vestal Review, and others. She has received an American Fiction prize and a Washington Independent Writers Award, as well as a Pushcart nomination.
Cathy is co-author of the blog Write Despite. She has an MFA in creative writing from George Mason University and a BA in English from Radford University.
